Facility questions

It's the Inland Northwest's major adult-and-pediatric referral center in Spokane — roughly 650 beds paired with Sacred Heart Children's Hospital — so RNs work trauma, neonatal and pediatric critical care, cardiac, transplant, and oncology.

It's a Level II adult and pediatric trauma center, and the children's hospital is the region's only Level II pediatric trauma center. For adults it's no longer the only Level II east of the Cascades — Kadlec in Richland earned that designation in 2023.

Sacred Heart Children's Hospital runs the only Level IV NICU in Eastern Washington, along with pediatric intensive care.

Kidney and pancreas transplant (with record-setting 2025 kidney-transplant volume), plus the Providence Spokane Heart Institute for advanced heart failure and mechanical circulatory support. (The heart-transplant program is paused as of November 2025.)
