Description
We are seeking a board-certified Emergency Medicine physician for a locum tenens opportunity in Poplar Bluff, Missouri. You will work in a hospital-based emergency department with support from PAs and NPs, seeing 20-24 patients per day. The EMR is Cerner, and you'll have access to a full range of specialty services including anesthesia, catheterization lab, general surgery, orthopedics, radiology, and vascular surgery.
Shifts are 12 hours: 7a-7p, 10a-10p, or 7p-7a, with weekends required. The contract is ongoing, starting as soon as credentialed. Pay averages $255 per hour, with holiday pay at 1.3x the normal rate. Travel and lodging are reimbursed up to set caps. You must be 90+ miles from the facility.
Requirements include an active Missouri medical license, DEA, and board certification in Emergency Medicine. BLS, ACLS, PALS, and NRP certifications through AHA or ARC are preferred. Credentialing takes about 120 days. If you're ready for a rewarding locum assignment, apply now.
