Locum Radiology Interventional

We are seeking an Interventional Radiologist for a locum tenens position in Rockville, Maryland. This role involves providing coverage at multiple locations, with a schedule of at least 10 shifts per month from 8am to 5pm, plus 13 weeks of call coverage. The call rotation includes weekday evenings and weekends, with a response time of 15 minutes by phone and 60 minutes for physical presence if needed. The average daily procedure volume is 10-15 in the hospital and 8-13 in the outpatient center.

The pay averages $3,850 per day, with overtime at 1.5x the normal rate after 40 hours per week and holiday pay at 1.5x. Full travel expenses are covered, including flights to Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport (DCA). Requirements include board certification, state license, DEA, and CSR. Credentialing takes approximately 90 days, and the employer is willing to license candidates.

Duties include patient rounds, joint aspirations, vascular ultrasound, thyroid biopsy, CTA peripherals, lumbar punctures, specialty consults, and various doppler studies. The physician will also remotely read vascular and CTA studies from Fort Washington Medical Center, which accounts for less than 10% of the workload.
