Description
Join our dedicated Cardio Thoracic Intensive Care Unit (CTICU) in San Diego, one of the few heart centers offering specialized pediatric cardiac care. Our 30-bed unit provides comprehensive inpatient care for congenital or acquired heart disease, with advanced modalities including ECMO and a thriving heart transplant program. Workstations are steps from patient rooms, ensuring close visual contact with the healthcare team.
This full-time position features a rotating schedule for the first year (2 months days, 2 months nights), transitioning to permanent night shifts after one year. Shifts are 12 hours. The pay range is $61.91 to $88.55 per hour, based on experience and collective bargaining agreement.
Minimum qualifications include an Associate's Degree or Nursing Diploma, one year of experience, current California RN license, BLS for Healthcare Providers, and PALS within 3 months of hire. Preferred qualifications include a BSN, three years of experience, professional nursing certification, bilingual Spanish, and pediatric nursing experience in a high-acuity department. Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to provide exceptional care to pediatric patients and their families.
