Description
Under the direct supervision of the surgeon and the Circulating Nurse and overall direction of the Assistant Managers, OR Manager, Director of Surgical Services and Vice President of Patient Care Services the Certified Surgical Technician (CST) assists in the nursing care and presentation of the surgical patient. The CST handles the instruments, supplies and equipment necessary during the surgical procedure, has an understanding of the procedure being performed and anticipates the needs of the surgeon.
