Description
VEA Health is seeking a full-time Emergency Medicine Physician (MD/DO) to join the growing emergency department at Methodist Hospital Westover Hills in San Antonio, Texas. This modern ED features 14 rooms, a trauma bay, vertical care areas, and approved expansion plans for 2026, offering a dynamic environment with strong APP support and a collegial team.
Physicians enjoy flexible scheduling with variable coverage, while APPs work overlapping shifts. The ED sees approximately 35,000 visits annually (95 per day) with a 17% admission rate and average physician productivity of 1.6 patients per hour. Trauma designation is pending for May 2026.
Requirements include Board Certification in Emergency Medicine and ED experience; APP candidates must have EM fellowship training preferred. This permanent staff position in San Antonio offers a rewarding opportunity to practice in a growing facility with planned expansion.
