Description
We are seeking a full-time Emergency Medicine Physician (MD/DO) to join our growing, high-volume emergency department at Methodist Hospital Northeast in San Antonio, Texas. This opportunity offers the pace and acuity of a busy ED with strong physician and APP coverage, efficient operations, and the support of an experienced leadership team.
The ED features 46 treatment rooms, 10 vertical care areas, and 10 hallway beds, with a Level IV trauma designation pending state approval. Annual ED visits exceed 58,500, with an average of 160 daily visits and a 9% pediatric volume. Physicians typically see 2.1 patients per hour, with coverage of 5-6 nine-hour shifts daily. APP coverage includes 4-6 shifts per day.
Qualifications include board certification in Emergency Medicine and ED experience. APP candidates with Emergency Medicine fellowship training are preferred. The role offers a collaborative clinical environment with efficient operations and supportive leadership. EMR is Meditech, and patient satisfaction is tracked via Press Ganey.
