Description
We are seeking Emergency Medicine physicians and advanced practice providers (APPs) for a permanent or locums-to-perm position in Del Rio, Texas. This role is ideal for BC/EM or BC/FP/IM physicians with ED experience, as well as experienced APPs. The emergency department is a Level IV trauma center with 12 ED beds and an additional 4-bed Express Care staffed by APPs, handling an annual volume of 25,500 visits (approximately 70 per day).
Physicians work 12-hour shifts (7am-7pm or 7pm-7am), while APPs cover 10am-8pm or 4pm-2am. The position offers competitive compensation and travel coverage including flight, hotel, and car rental. Credentialing takes 90-160 days, and contract lengths range from 3 months to 1 year.
Requirements include ACLS, ATLS (not required for BC/EM), and PALS certifications. The facility uses Meditech Expanse EMR and has robust specialty backup including General Surgery, Urology, OB/GYN, Interventional Cardiology, Nephrology, Interventional Radiology, and Pediatrics.
