Description
We are seeking a dedicated EMT to join our team at the Metropolitan Detention Center (MDC) in Albuquerque, NM. In this role, you will assist nursing staff and physicians with patient care, including wound care, splinting, and routine treatment procedures. You will also help maintain a safe, clean environment and stock patient care areas. Patient care assignments may include all age groups from neonate to geriatric.
This is a full-time position with rotating shifts. The pay rate ranges from $16.15 to $20.06 per hour, with an average of $18/hr. Additionally, you will receive a $6.00/hr safety incentive pay and shift differentials for weekday nights, weekend nights, and weekend days. Cell phones and smart devices are not permitted on persons at MDC unless a documented medical condition exists.
Requirements include a High School diploma or GED, at least 6 months of directly related experience, and current BLS certification (obtained within 30 days). An Emergency Medical Technician Basic License is also required. Bilingual skills in English/Keres, Tewa, Tiwa, Towa, Zuni, Navajo, or Spanish are preferred but not essential.
