Permanent Medical Surgical Float Registered Nurse

Huntington Hospital in Pasadena, CA is seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse for our Medical Surgical Float Pool. In this role, you will coordinate patient care across the health care continuum, utilizing critical thinking and the nursing process to ensure optimal outcomes. You'll supervise patient management, from discharge planning to resource identification, and collaborate with the care team to meet individual patient needs.

This is a full-time, night shift position with 12-hour shifts. The pay structure is highly competitive: base rate ranges from $47.88 to $74.20 per hour, with overtime at 1.5x for hours 8-12 and double-time beyond 12 hours. The estimated blended hourly rate for a 12-hour shift is $55.86 to $86.57, averaging around $61/hr. You'll also have access to shift differentials, extra shift incentives, and bonuses.

Requirements include a BSN (or ADN with enrollment in a BSN program for completion within 2 years), a current California RN license, BLS and ACLS from AHA, and at least 1 year of acute care experience. You must pass a Basic Dysrhythmia course within 21 days of hire and complete annual competencies. Preferred qualifications include PCCN certification.
