Description
As a Nutrition Services Clerk at Encompass Health in Bedford, TX, you will play a crucial role in preparing therapeutic and modified diets for patients, as well as crafting meals for employees, visitors, and special functions. This position offers an average pay of $17 per hour and is a great opportunity to contribute to patient well-being in a supportive environment.
Your responsibilities include distributing and collecting menus, assisting patients with diet orders, processing menus, and updating patient kardex with diet changes. You will also visit patients to gather food preferences and allergies, document nutritional history, complete production sheets, and ensure meal accuracy. Cleaning duties are also part of the role.
Qualifications include a high school diploma or equivalent and a food handler's permit if required by state or county regulations. One year of experience as a Diet Clerk or Nutrition Services Clerk in an acute care facility is preferred.
