Permanent Observation Unit Registered Nurse

Maury Regional Medical Center in Columbia, TN is seeking a Charge Registered Nurse for our 25-bed Short Stay Observation Stepdown Unit. This fast-paced environment serves patients requiring observation or short-term care after surgery or medical events, with rapid patient turnover and a nurse-to-patient ratio of 5:1. You'll conduct thorough assessments every 12 hours and utilize streamlined documentation practices to enhance patient care.

This full-time day shift position offers leadership opportunities as you oversee unit operations, direct and mentor staff, manage assignments, and provide and evaluate nursing care using critical thinking and professional judgment. The role requires current RN licensure in Tennessee, ACLS certification, and enrollment in a BSN program within 6 months of employment with completion within 24 months.
