As a top-rated organization we foster an inclusive collaborative work environment where innovation and patient care lead the way.ABOUT THE UNIT:At Maury Regional Medical Center (MRMC) the 6W Orthopedic Surgical Unit is a 37-bed department specializing in orthopedic and general surgical care. The Unit includes 21 beds dedicated to orthopedic surgeries and 16 beds for general surgery patients. Our team is proud to hold an Advanced Total Hip & Knee Replacement Certification from the Joint Commission ensuring we meet the highest standards for joint replacement and related procedures. Orthopedic care focuses on joint replacements spinal surgeries shoulder surgeries and fracture repairs while general surgery covers abdominal urology neurological and gynecology procedures. Nurses on this unit develop enhanced skills such as wound care traction bracing bladder irrigation and working with nasogastric tubes.
