Description
Mercy in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, is seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse for a permanent, full-time position in our outpatient urology clinic. In this role, you will provide knowledgeable support to physicians and deliver patient-centered care during clinic visits, over the phone, and electronically. You will be responsible for real-time charting using EPIC, ensuring accurate and complete medical records for each patient visit.
Your duties will include preparing progress notes, rooming patients, taking vitals, administering injections, collecting specimens, and performing phlebotomy as needed. You will also manage phone calls regarding test results, process medication requests, and assist with diagnostic procedures. This position offers day/evening shifts, and while pay is not disclosed, it is an hourly rate position.
Requirements include an active Registered Nurse license, current BLS certification through the American Heart Association, and completion of Iowa Dependent Adult Abuse and Child Abuse Mandatory Reporter training prior to start. Preferred experience includes three to five years of relevant experience, and you must be willing to train as a clinical scribe upon hire.
