Description
Join the Emergency Trauma Center (ETC) at St. Cloud Hospital as a Patient Care Extender. In this role, you'll assist patients by cleaning and dressing wounds, starting splints, performing blood draws, and teaching crutch walking. Our Level II Trauma Center sees 60,000 visits annually and features 38 private rooms, a helipad, and an ambulance garage. You'll work alongside dedicated doctors and nurses in a fast-paced environment.
This is a part-time position with 56 hours every two weeks, working 8-hour night shifts from 11:00pm to 7:30am. Every other weekend and rotating holidays are required. Starting pay is $19.91 per hour, with increases based on experience, and the pay range is $19.91 to $29.87 per hour. Additional pay is available for evening, night, and weekend shifts.
Qualifications include a high school diploma or equivalent. EMT-Basic or Nursing Assistant certification is preferred, along with one year of ED experience. Knowledge of medical terminology is helpful. A current BLS Healthcare Provider card from the American Heart Association is required, but can be obtained after hire.
