Permanent Pharmacist Inpatient

Fairbanks Memorial Hospital in Fairbanks, Alaska, is seeking a dedicated Staff Pharmacist to join our Hospital Pharmacy team. In this role, you will deliver comprehensive pharmaceutical care using the medication use process, including selecting, prescribing, dispensing, administering, and monitoring medications. You will collaborate with patient care teams to perform assessments and analysis of drug therapy, ensuring optimal outcomes. This position offers a unique opportunity to work in a 152-bed non-profit facility with a strong patient-to-nurse ratio and Shared Leadership Infrastructure.

This full-time position offers 40 hours per week with 4x10-hour varied shifts, including some weekends. The pay ranges from $58.30 to $93.29 per hour based on experience, with an average of $76/hr. Shift differentials are available: $2.00/hr for weekends, $2.50/hr for evenings, and $6.00/hr for nights, with additional financial incentives for night shifts. A $40,000 retention bonus, up to $7,500 relocation assistance, and 90 days of temporary housing are provided.

Requirements include completion of a Hospital Pharmacy Residency or equivalent experience, with inpatient pharmacist experience highly preferred. You must demonstrate knowledge and skills to provide care appropriate to patient ages and adhere to local, state, and federal pharmacy laws.
