Description
We are seeking a dedicated Inpatient Pharmacist to join our pharmacy team at UNM Hospitals in Albuquerque, New Mexico. In this permanent, full-time evening role, you will consult with physicians and other healthcare professionals to ensure safe, cost-effective drug therapy for patients across neonate, pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric age groups. Your expertise will directly impact patient care through medication order review, clinical monitoring, and collaboration on treatment plans.
This position offers an average pay of $73 per hour, with shift differentials for weekday nights, weekend nights, and weekend days. You will work 0.90 FTE (full-time) on evening shifts, compounding and dispensing medications, maintaining inventory of controlled substances, and performing clinical duties such as pharmacokinetic monitoring, renal dosing, and IV to PO conversions. You'll also participate in quality improvement initiatives and educate residents, students, and technicians.
Requirements include a current pharmacist license in New Mexico (or eligibility), and experience in an inpatient hospital setting is preferred.
