Description
We are seeking a dedicated inpatient pharmacist to join the pharmacy team at UNM Hospital, a level 1 trauma center and academic medical center in Albuquerque, NM. In this role, you will focus on internal medicine, collaborating with physicians and other healthcare professionals to ensure safe, cost-effective drug therapy for patients across various age groups.
This full-time position offers rotating shifts, primarily days with occasional weekends. You'll receive shift differentials for weekday nights, weekend nights, and weekend days. The average pay is $73 per hour, with a range of $63.47 to $82.51 based on experience and education.
Responsibilities include compounding and dispensing medications, reviewing prescriptions for appropriateness, monitoring drug therapies, and participating in clinical programs such as renal dosing and IV to PO conversions. You'll also have opportunities to educate residents, students, and staff. Requirements include a valid pharmacist license, and relocation assistance is available for qualified candidates.
