Permanent Pharmacist Inpatient

Hays Medical Center is seeking a dedicated Permanent Inpatient Pharmacist to join our team in Hays, Kansas. In this role, you will ensure the safe and effective use of medications by verifying orders, assessing drug selection, and monitoring therapies for both inpatients and outpatients. You'll collaborate with medical staff to identify cost-effective alternatives and provide clinical consultation, ensuring the best possible patient care.

This is a staff/permanent position with an average pay of $66 per hour. You will be responsible for compounding and dispensing pharmaceuticals, including sterile chemotherapy and parenteral nutrition products, as well as issuing controlled substances and maintaining records. Pharmacokinetics consults and patient/family education are also key components of the role.

To qualify, you must be a graduate of an ACPE-accredited School of Pharmacy (PharmD or BS Pharm) and hold a Kansas Board of Pharmacy license. Knowledge of general pharmacy services and infection control practices is required. This position involves routine access to protected health information, including patient demographics, financial data, and clinical records.
