Description
We are seeking a skilled Phlebotomist to join our laboratory team in Attleboro, MA. In this permanent role, you will perform phlebotomy procedures on patients in sub-acute, long-term care, and adult day care centers. You'll work 3 days per week from 6:30am to 2pm, with no weekends or holidays, earning an average of $25 per hour.
Your responsibilities include collecting blood specimens using venipuncture and capillary puncture techniques, verifying patient identity, labeling specimens, and ensuring timely delivery to the lab. You will also handle clerical duties, access electronic lab orders, and maintain accurate records in the EMR. Strong customer service and communication skills are essential.
Qualifications include a high school diploma, completion of an approved phlebotomy program, and phlebotomy certification (or eligibility, with certification required within one year). You must have 1-3 years of hospital phlebotomy experience. Preferred skills include experience with electronic patient identification and pre-analytical specimen collection.
