Description
We are seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse for our Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) at St. Tammany Health System in Covington, Louisiana. In this role, you will coordinate clinical activities for critically ill pediatric patients, utilizing the nursing process to plan, implement, and evaluate care. You will also supervise LPNs and nursing assistants, ensuring compliance with hospital policies and the State Nurse Practice Act. This position offers a night shift schedule of 3x12-hour shifts from 19:00 to 07:00, with compensation based on experience.
To qualify, you must have successfully completed a Board Certified Nursing Program and hold a current Louisiana RN license. One year of PICU experience is preferred. BLS certification is required upon hire, with PALS and NRP required within 90 days. Certifications must be from an ILCOR-provided course including a manikin check-off. As part of Children's Services, you may need to float to NICU and Pediatrics as needed.
