Description
Sierra View Medical Center in Porterville, CA is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to serve as Charge Nurse in the Emergency Room. This full-time, permanent position offers a competitive hourly rate of $48.80 to $68.31, plus a $20,000 sign-on bonus for candidates with 3+ years of acute care experience. You will work night shifts from 6:45pm to 7:15am, providing holistic, individualized care to a diverse patient population including geriatric, adult, adolescent, pediatric, and newborn patients.
As Charge Nurse, you will coordinate patient care assignments, manage staffing needs, and ensure appropriate responses to emergencies. You will serve as a resource and mentor to staff, facilitate intra- and inter-departmental teamwork, and assist with policy development. The role requires a minimum of two years of unit-specific clinical experience, current California RN licensure, and certifications in BLS, ACLS, and PALS. CPI certification must be obtained within one year.
