Description
Join Pawnee Valley Community Hospital in Larned, KS as a Registered Respiratory Therapist. In this role, you will provide respiratory care across all hospital areas, including critical care, using advanced equipment and protocols. You'll assess patient needs, implement appropriate therapies, and mentor students and new staff. This is a full-time, day shift position (6:00am - 6:30pm) with a competitive pay range of $26.00 - $38.00 per hour.
Responsibilities include collecting patient information, ensuring safety, providing education, and documenting care. You'll work independently after completing clinical check-offs and collaborate with physicians to modify treatments as needed. The role requires adherence to departmental goals and infection control standards.
Qualifications: Graduation from an accredited Respiratory Therapy program, Kansas RT license, RRT certification from the NBRC, and BLS certification (within 2 weeks of hire). ACLS certification is required within 6 months. Additional certifications may be needed based on patient population. This position involves frequent patient interaction and access to protected health information.
