Description
Join our Surgical Services team as a Sterile Processing Tech in Albuquerque, NM. You will provide critical operational support by processing and sterilizing instruments, managing inventory, and preparing case carts for the Operating Room and other departments. This role ensures patient care equipment is clean and functional, with no direct patient care assignments.
This is a permanent staff position offering an average pay of $23 per hour. Your responsibilities include decontaminating, inspecting, assembling, and sterilizing instrument sets, operating sterilizers, and maintaining accurate records. You will also act as a clinical resource and role model for department personnel.
Requirements include a high school diploma or GED, completion of a Sterile Processing Technician training program, and current Sterile Processing Certification. Flexible Endoscope Reprocessing Certification must be obtained within one year of hire. Two years of directly related experience is preferred. Physical demands are heavy, requiring exertion of up to 100 pounds occasionally.
