Travel Medical Surgical - Neuro Registered Nurse

Join our team as a Travel Medical Surgical - Neuro Registered Nurse in Phoenix, AZ. This role is on the Neuro Acute unit (6NNA/B) with 48 beds, including 10 epilepsy specialty rooms. You'll care for patients with epilepsy, brain tumors, subdural hematomas, scoliosis surgeries, TBI, and other neurological diagnoses. Strong critical thinking and assessment skills are essential, as you'll detect subtle changes and perform neuro assessments including cranial nerves.

This is a night shift position (7pm-7am, 12-hour shifts) with a weekly pay averaging $2,010. You'll work 36 hours per week with guaranteed hours. The schedule includes 3 weekend shifts per 4-week period and holiday rotation. Ratios are 1:4 on both days and nights, with a charge nurse and resource RN available. Support staff includes PCTs (1-2 on days, 1 on nights) and 24/7 RT and pharmacy services.

Requirements: Minimum 2 years of experience, BLS and ACLS (AHA), and Level 1 trauma experience. BSN and Med-Surg/Tele certification preferred. You must pass a dysrhythmia exam (2 attempts) and a SIMs lab on day 1 covering Foley catheter insertion and central line dressing changes. A clean-shaven face (for fit test), natural hair color, no facial piercings, and your own vehicle are required. Floating to MS/Tele units and other campuses may be necessary.
