Epic charting
Description
We are seeking an experienced NICU Registered Nurse for a travel contract with Swedish Medical Center Float Pool in Edmonds, Washington. This role offers the opportunity to work across multiple campuses including Ballard, Cherry Hill, Edmonds, First Hill, Issaquah, Mill Creek, and Redmond, with primary needs at First Hill, Edmonds, and Issaquah. You will care for newborns and infants, floating to Peds and PICU as needed.
This is a night shift position (1900-0730) with 12-hour shifts. The schedule requires clinicians to work 5 days (Wednesday-Sunday or Thursday-Monday) and be available for 3 shifts, with a guarantee of 2 shifts per week. The average pay is $2,013 per week. Contracts are 13 weeks with possible extensions if scheduling requirements are consistently met.
Requirements include a minimum of 2 years of NICU experience, active WA RN license, AHA BLS and NRP certifications, and experience with patient ratios of 1:2. You must provide references covering 1 year of employment within the last 3 years, with at least one from a supervisor. EPIC charting experience is preferred. COVID vaccine is required unless an approved exemption is obtained.
Orientation includes online virtual modules (about 21 hours) followed by two unit orientation shifts. This is an excellent opportunity for a dedicated NICU nurse to gain diverse experience in a supportive float pool environment.
