Description
Join the Endoscopy team at SRMC Campus in Albuquerque, NM as a permanent GI/Endo Tech. In this role, you will assist with nursing care and preparation of patients in the GI Lab/Endoscopy Center, functioning as a key member of the procedure team. You'll issue supplies and instruments to endoscopists, ensuring adherence to hospital policies and procedures. Patient care assignments may include all age groups from neonate to geriatric.
This full-time position offers day shifts and a competitive pay rate averaging $21 per hour (range $16.99 - $24.79). You will be responsible for patient safety, equipment decontamination, specimen handling, and documentation in the electronic medical record. On-call duties may be required.
Qualifications include a high school diploma or GED, with preference for graduates of a Surgical Technician, Medical Assistant, or SGNA program. Six months of related experience is required, and CPR for Healthcare/BLS certification must be obtained within 30 days. Physical demands involve medium work with occasional lifting up to 50 pounds.
