Description
Sierra View Medical Center in Porterville, CA is seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse to serve as Charge RN in our Emergency Room. In this leadership role, you will coordinate patient care, make assignments using Benner's Novice to Expert model, and ensure quality outcomes for a diverse patient population including geriatric, adult, adolescent, pediatric, and newborn patients. You'll serve as a resource, mentor, and liaison between staff and management.
This is a full-time position on day shift (6:45am-7:15pm) with an hourly range of $48.80 to $68.31, averaging $59/hr. A $20,000 sign-on bonus is available for candidates with 3+ years of acute care experience. You must be able to work holidays, weekends, and on-call as needed.
Requirements include a current California RN license, BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications (must obtain before patient contact), and at least two years of unit-specific clinical experience. CPI certification is required within one year. National certification may be required within 90 days. Strong leadership, communication, and computer skills are essential.
