Locum General Dentist

We are seeking an experienced General Dentist for a locum tenens opportunity at a Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC) in Millinocket, Maine. This role is ideal for a provider comfortable in a high-volume, community health setting serving a rural patient population. You will work alongside a hygienist and dental assistant, seeing 18–25+ patients per day. Must be experienced with completing your own charting.

The schedule is Monday through Thursday, 7:30 AM to 6:00 PM with a 30-minute lunch. The contract is for 6 months starting ASAP (30 days out). Pay averages $113 per hour. Travel and lodging are covered with a $1,800 monthly lodging cap and one roundtrip flight per contract; a rental car is also provided.

Requirements: willingness to obtain Maine license (client will assist). Credentialing is minimal at about 30 days. Please note: this is not a cosmetic dentistry role, and candidates must be comfortable with an FQHC/Medicaid environment. Clinical references will be required prior to offer.
