Locum General Dentist

This locum tenens opportunity is for a General Dentist to support a dental office in Lawton, Oklahoma, that is going dark. The role involves providing comprehensive general dentistry services to adult and some cooperative pediatric patients. Procedures include fillings, crowns, bridges, full and partial dentures, root canals, simple and surgical extractions, Invisalign, hygiene checks, implant placement and restoration. Experience with Wave One Rotary system and Invisalign is preferred but not required. Complex cases can be referred out. Patient education and bedside manner are equally important.

The schedule is Monday through Thursday from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with a half day on Friday. The assignment runs from September 1, 2026, to December 31, 2026, for a total of 22 days. Pay averages $113 per hour. The office has 8 support staff and uses Dentrix EMR.

Requirements: Active Oklahoma state dental license, BLS certification. DEA not required but preferred. Invisalign and Nitrous Oxide certifications are preferred. Board certification is not required. Credentialing takes about one week; a new TB test (QGold) must be completed within three days of accepting an offer. Travel arrangements will be booked by AYA LocumX.
