Description
We are seeking a Benefits Specialist to serve as a primary point of contact for employees and their dependents navigating medical care within our health system in New Brunswick, NJ. In this role, you will answer questions related to health insurance benefits, coverage, and network access, helping employees understand in-network versus out-of-network care and associated costs.
This is a permanent, staff position with an average pay of $102,524 per year. You will conduct proactive telephonic and in-person outreach to promote wellness initiatives, preventive care, and available health resources. You will support employees during new diagnoses, emergency care transitions, and ongoing treatment plans, collaborating with outpatient service lines to schedule appointments, referrals, diagnostic testing, and follow-up care.
Requirements include experience in benefits administration or a related field, strong communication skills, and knowledge of HIPAA and confidentiality requirements. You will coordinate with carriers, TPAs, and internal revenue cycle teams to resolve access or coverage issues, and develop wellness education programs through in-person sessions and webinars. This is an excellent opportunity to make a meaningful impact on employee health and wellbeing.
