Description
Palmetto Infusion provides comprehensive ambulatory and home-based infusion services to acute and chronically ill patients. As a Patient Services Coordinator, you will be the point of contact for patients, vendors, and providers, focusing on coordinating infusion clinic scheduling. This includes reviewing patient ambulation, medical clearance, lab results, frequency of therapy, wash-out periods, and additional patient needs. The role is based in Birmingham, AL, with a schedule of Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM.
Minimum qualifications include a high school diploma or equivalent, one year of experience in scheduling and customer service, proficiency in MS Outlook, Word, and Excel, and the ability to work in a changing environment. Essential functions include scheduling initial and ongoing patient appointments, monitoring therapy frequency, conducting outbound calls, interpreting physician orders, coordinating with internal and external partners, and triaging incoming calls.
