Description
VEA Health is seeking a full-time Hospitalist Physician (MD/DO) to join the growing inpatient program at Cuero Community Hospital in Cuero, Texas. This opportunity offers a low-volume inpatient setting with strong autonomy and a manageable patient census in a state-of-the-art acute care facility.
The position features a 49-bed acute care facility with approximately 3,000 annual hospitalist encounters (about 8 patient visits per day), average 2.5 admissions per day, and an average daily census of 4 patients. The schedule is a 24-hour shift with daytime rounding and on-call availability until the following morning. The ICU is open, and no procedures are required. EMR is Meditech Expanse, and patient satisfaction score reporting is included.
Qualifications include being Board-Eligible or Board-Certified in Family Medicine or Internal Medicine with hospitalist experience, plus ACLS and BLS certifications. This is a full-time, permanent position offering competitive compensation and benefits.
