Description
Join VEA Health as a full-time Emergency Medicine Physician at Yoakum Community Hospital in Bay City, Texas. This is an opportunity to practice in a lower-volume Emergency Department with meaningful community impact and strong specialty support. The ED features 6 dedicated beds with an annual volume of 6,000 visits (approximately 16 patients per day), with pediatric patients accounting for 26% of visits. Physician shift options include 8:00 a.m. – 8:00 p.m. or 8:00 p.m. – 8:00 a.m. The admission rate is 5.1%, and the transfer rate is 1.4%. Specialty backup includes Gastroenterology, Urology, Cardiology, Podiatry, General Surgery, and Orthopedics. EMR is MedHost. Qualifications: Board-Certified or Board-Eligible in Emergency Medicine, Family Medicine, or Internal Medicine. ACLS, PALS, and ATLS certifications required (ATLS waived if Board-Certified in Emergency Medicine).
