Description
VEA Health is seeking a full-time Hospitalist Physician (MD/DO) to join a growing inpatient program at DeTar Hospital Navarro in Victoria, Texas. This high-volume opportunity is based in a 189-bed acute care Level III Trauma Center with strong specialty support and APP collaboration.
Hospitalists manage an average of 18 patients per day, with total annual encounters of 27,000. Day shifts (7 AM–7 PM) are staffed by 2 physicians and 2 APPs; night shifts (7 PM–7 AM) by 1 physician or APP. A dedicated Discharge Navigator APP supports Monday–Friday. No procedures are required.
Candidates must be board-eligible or board-certified in Family Medicine or Internal Medicine, with ACLS and BLS certification. The role offers strong multidisciplinary support including PCCM, teleneurology, and multiple surgical and medical specialties. EMR is MedHost.
