Permanent Medical Billing Specialist

Saint Peter's Physician Revenue Cycle is seeking a Medical Billing Customer Service Representative to join our team in New Brunswick, NJ. In this role, you will answer incoming calls, address patient billing inquiries, process payments over the phone, and guide patients through electronic payment systems. You will also document all interactions in the electronic medical record system and manage voicemail and patient portal messages within required timeframes.

This is a permanent staff position with an average pay of $22 per hour. Responsibilities include assisting patients with monthly payment plans, reviewing outstanding accounts, preparing small balance write-offs, and coordinating with collection agencies. You will work closely with the Coordinator or Manager to ensure efficient billing operations.

Requirements include one or more years of experience as a Medical Insurance Biller, with hospital billing experience strongly preferred. Bilingual (Spanish/English) candidates are preferred. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and strong interpersonal skills are essential. Knowledge of HIPAA guidelines and third-party payer regulations is helpful.
