Permanent Medical Billing Specialist

Saint Peter's Physician Revenue Cycle is seeking a Medical Billing Customer Service Representative to join our team in New Brunswick, NJ. In this role, you will be the primary point of contact for patients regarding their billing inquiries, handling incoming calls, processing payments over the phone, and guiding patients through electronic payment systems. You will also document all interactions in the electronic medical record system and assist with enrolling patients in monthly payment plans.

This is a permanent, staff position offering an average pay of $22 per hour. Your responsibilities will include retrieving and responding to voicemail and patient portal messages within 24 hours, reviewing outstanding accounts, preparing small balance write-offs, and coordinating with collection agencies as needed. You will work closely with the billing coordinator or manager to ensure timely resolution of billing issues.

Requirements include one or more years of experience as a Medical Insurance Biller, with hospital billing experience strongly preferred. Bilingual (Spanish/English) candidates are preferred. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and strong interpersonal skills are essential. Knowledge of collection, A/R follow-up, and third-party payers is helpful.
