Description
This Director role provides enterprise leadership for Safety, Security, Emergency Management, and Hazardous Materials programs, protecting patients, visitors, employees, providers, and volunteers. You will develop, implement, and continuously improve an integrated, data-driven program that supports regulatory and accreditation readiness and promotes a culture of safety. As the primary liaison with internal leaders and external partners such as public safety and emergency management agencies, you will ensure preparedness for all-hazards events through planning, training, exercises, response, recovery, and mitigation activities.
The position offers an average pay of $63 per hour and is based in Attleboro, MA. You will manage Safety and Security Officers and an Emergency Management Coordinator. Key responsibilities include overseeing security operations, workplace violence prevention, emergency preparedness training and exercises, and regulatory readiness. You will also develop and manage departmental budgets, recruit and lead staff, and establish program metrics.
Requirements include a Bachelor's degree in a related discipline, with a graduate degree preferred, and at least 5 years of progressive leadership experience in healthcare safety/security, emergency management, or a related field. Certifications such as CHPA are preferred, and FEMA/NIMS ICS courses (IS/ICS-100, 200, 700, 800) are required. Strong project management, communication, and budget development skills are essential. This is a permanent, staff position offering the opportunity to make a significant impact on patient and staff safety.
