Description
We are looking for a dedicated Unit Secretary to serve as the central communication hub for our patient-care unit in New Brunswick, NJ. In this role, you will coordinate all clerical functions, including assisting with charting, admissions, and discharges, ensuring the unit runs smoothly and efficiently. You will maintain organization at the nurse's station, promote an orderly workflow, and handle interdepartmental communications with precision.
Your responsibilities include scheduling and coordinating special patient appointments with other departments as directed by healthcare team members, answering call bells and assisting as appropriate, managing a high volume of phone calls, and welcoming visitors to the unit. This is a permanent, staff position offering an average pay of $20 per hour.
Ideal candidates are highly organized, possess excellent communication skills, and thrive in a fast-paced healthcare environment. No prior clinical experience is required, but familiarity with medical terminology and clerical tasks is a plus. Join our team and play a vital role in patient care coordination.
